“The Little Tree” is a short animation film that addresses the issue of over cutting trees by Greenpeace. The animation starts from a little tree which grows up in a forest. Every creature were living peacefully and happily in this beautifully preserved nature. One day, a group of human come in and start cutting down trees and destroying the natural habitat. Eventually, the land was being industrialized to build houses and factories. Sadly, even though the city is developing, the environment is being damaged and polluted. The left over tree started to withered and die within the city.
We finalized our video style in low poly animation. I drew out the storyboard after discussing the story with my teammates and made the building scene on Maya and animate it. Each team member contributed to part of the scenes and render them into animatics. After we got all the rendered scenes, we used After Effects to edit these scenes together and add background music and sound effects to complete the animation.
